Hi all I am looking to replace my wife' 02 sd 5.4 with a new 05, I want to know from the guys out there who have the new V-10 3valves how do you like them and what is your mpg. We are getting a bigger camper this spring but cannot drop the big change on a PSD . Thanks for the help.

i've got the 05 v10 it's my first v10 and i'm happy with it. it get's around 11 to12 mpg and has plenty of power. i couldn't afford the psd or drive it enough to justify getting one. i have a cc with 8 foot bed and getting a new truck camper myself so deffinitly didn't want to go v8. i think you will like the v10,and would consider the 600$option for the torqeshift tranny with tow haul mode for hauling your new camper.

 

Go visit down in the V10 section of this forum and you will see how everyone likes their V10's. I have one on order suppossed to be here tomorrow, can not wait!

 

I'm getting 12mpg in mine, and I've never been in a faster truck.

 

Ive got the 05 F-350 with the V-10 and love it. I plow snow and pull heavy trailers with it and it has all the power i need and then some. I had an 01 V-10 that was great but the 05 blows that away. I only get between 8.5 and 9.0 miles per gallon but who cares its a Truck. I would buy the V-10 you will love it. Big George
