hey....i just wanted to hear from the guys who've done the 5.0 to 5.0HO swap. what you ran into and how much better it feels in your truck.....hopefully in a month or so ill have a sucess story to add to this.....thanks

 

so far heres what i got.....

87 f-150 with a slow but good running 5.0. Ive got an 88 mustang 5.0HO im going to use the stock harness..with the mass air adapter i just got off ebay. ive got an 89 mustang computer.....stock maf meter.....cold air intake....headers are already on the truck which im going to reuse.....i got a crane powermax 20/20 cam for more torque.....reuse trucks brackets...pulleys...and oil pan, and get a new truck water pump...cause ive read that the mustangs is reverse flow. ive already yanked the smog pump and cat off the truck....so im obviously not going to run those on the mustang motor....im debating on weather or not to pull the heads.....im not rebuilding the new motor just putting new cam...water pump, timing chain, and oil pump. and cleaning the hell out of it while its on the engine stand....let me know what else im forgetting .....thanks
