Vote to Improve the Admiral Twin Drive-In Theater-Could be a Fun Event Location
Okay, many of us did our part to vote the Tulsa Zoo as our favorite and they got $20k, for free, for improvements.
Now it's time to vote for another famous Tulsa Landmark to win some more improvement/renovation monies. This time it's sponsored by Hampton Hotels and our own Admiral Twins Drive-In theater(yaaa woohooo) is running against the worn down and boring 'Bride of Madison County'. (booo hissss) All ya have to do is visit the following link and select the Admiral Twin and click on Submit Your Vote.
With the improvements and renovation could you just imagine having an FTE meet and having a few dozen Ford Trucks and vehicles parked at that place for a show?
So please do your part, and vote for the rusty crusty boring bridge or vote for the nostalgic entertainment of the Admiral Twin Drive-In theater!!!!!!!
"Tulsa's Admiral Twins Drive-In -- Oklahoma's largest
drive-in -- is a twin screen venue with a capacity for more
than 1,000 cars. It opened originally as a single screen
in 1951, and a second screen was added a year later.
It epitomizes the nostalgic drive-in movie theaters of the
past... so much so that it was featured in the Frances
Ford Coppola's 1980 film "The Outsiders" as the
ultimate 1950's hangout."
Guess a two word post is too small to make it onto the boards. So, I'm typing all of this extra BS to chew up some FTE bandwidth just to get the "I voted" post on the board. How stupid is this!?!?!?!?!

dirve-ins are awesome. i wish there was one closer to where i live. the only one i have been to is in Chickasha. it was pretty fun trying to sneak in as many people as we could. of course that was back in high school when cash was a little harder to come by to pay for everyone to get in.
does anybody have any good stories about there drive-in experiences?
a good story was back when ford did its 100 b-day one night if you drove a ford to the admiral twin you got in free to see the best car movie steve mcqueen's buillet it was cool all the mustangs t-birds and street rods me the wife and freinds went it was cool
I also voted!!!! Put the link into the favorites so I can vote EVERY DAY.

i havnt been to that theater in forever, you know that radio station you tune into to hear the move, well you can get that station up to like 6 miles away, the driven around here got blown over last year so i might be comming out to a meet when i turn 16
No plans to rebuild the drive-in at Tahlequah? Man, that would stink to see place go the way of all the others. When I was little, we used to go there and the one in Siloam Springs. Sure a lot of fun back in those days.
