I have a 99 Ford F15O with a 4.6 engine. I tried to crank it and heard a loud noise. After that it had no compression. We pulled the valve covers off and found every other rocker arm kicked off starting with the first one on one side and the second on the other side. 4 on each side came off. Guess that was the noise but I was looking for the cause. The Cams and timming chains looks good. It has 79,000 miles. I read the thick oil stories, but my deal sounds strange since the rockers seemed to come off in order. I did hear a clicking sound when I cranked it the day before, but it was running good. It has been in storage for a while. Is my 4.6 sick or dead???? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Were they all intake or all exhaust? Sounds like possibly it jumped time and some valves possibly hit some pistons??
