VIBRATION 04 150 scab 5.4 with 4.10
Hello all,
I wish I had found this website before I bought this POS I have had it for only a month and a half and it has been to the shop 3 times for a total of 11days so far and it is still their. They have replaced the drive shaft installed some kind of damper and are now waiting for new wheels and tires. after reading all these posts on this issue I have no faith in them fixing it. I will do what I can to get my money back or trade up to a 250. Ford Has a serious problem with this model. I was also told some kind of engineer is coming to inspect my truck.

I have a 04 scab with the tow/payload package. It also has the 10.25" 4.10 rear. I have 1150 miles on it, I just took it in to the dealership to have a vibration (45-55 MPH) addressed. They tell me it is 1 tire that is causing the problem. Agaainst my better judgement I picked it up today as they told me it would be up to 2 weeks before they could get a tire. It now has the bad tire on the back, they tell me that is just out of limits per the road force balancer. It seems to be better but the vib is still there. Did I screw up by taking the truck? Is this where you started? I am just looking for someone that has been though this with this model. I will be watching this discussion for any advice that might be of use for me. PS. I really set them off when I showed up with a copy of 2 vibration TSB's, they were very interested in where I got them....What a good site .Thanks, Scott

I have an '04 XLT scab LWB 5.4 4.10 with heavy duty and trailer tow pkg and snow plow prep that would shudder on turning R or L from a dead stop. Twice it started shaking the truck like a rag doll then stopped after coming to a complete stop. Took it into dealer and told them what was happening and that there was a TSB about this problem. They replaced the clutch packs with no question or hassle. So far it seems to have cured the problem.

1990bronco4x4,
Yes I do have to pull a horse trailer and a 23' camper. I have always bought nissans but after looking at them the dealer told me that the titan only came with a 2.91 rear end which is good for the highway but will not hold up towing what I tow. The reason I mentioned a 250 is I have found no vibration problem with them on this website. I dont mind having a problem every now and then that can be fixed but this vibration issue sucks every time I drive it I get so mad I cant see straight.
