Looking for 390 crank and rods in Alaska.

Any of you Alaskans have a crank and rods laying around for the 390? I want to start a new engine build up for my plow truck, but I don't want to go back to the 360.

I would consider a rebuildable longblock of the price was right.

If you have one please email me at schu_schu.net (replace the _ with an @).

Thanks,

schu

man, the only way I know to get a set of crank and rods I would trust is through a place like PAW, summit, jegs, etc. You can get em pretty dang cheap and they come with warranties. The odds of finding a 390 just laying around are pretty slim unfortounately.

I have a 360 laying around but the only 390 I have is in my plow truck and I am using it. I would keep an eye on ebay. You can find some good deals there from time to time.

Bob,

I was going to use the 360 block and just replace the rotating assembly unless I can get a rebuildable 390 long block to build on the stand.

The 360 in it now runs, but it's old and tired. I may sell it, but not until I have the 390 installed since I can't go without my plow truck during the winter months.

I'll update this thread when the status changes.

Will it spin? Heck yeah it runs like a top. It comes complete with a C6 tranny, 205 t-case, front and rear dana 60. All of the components are in a 76' CrewCab with a body that looks like it has been through a terrible hurricane. I have dreams about restoring it someday but I also have plans of selling it every other day. If you are interested make me an offer and I will probably sell it.

Thumbs up

yea, if you can give me some information on fixing my 1990 ford ranger XLT, I will give you two 390 Cranks and take them out the engines myself.
