Vibration

Hey yall I know this is an old *** topic from I think I read 9 months ago and I read through the previous posts on this. I was just trying to clearify what part of the truck is vibrating? I obviously haven't had any such problem I'm just curious. One thing though I have noticed which is very strange, is there is a rattle coming from under the steering wheel someplace. I have a buddy of mine and we went to the dealership together to buy our trucks at the same time he got the black F150 FX4 Supercrew Cab 5.4 V8 and I got the silver one. Anyway he has had the exact same thing happen to his truck. Now the strange thing about it is that it will come and go. Like tonight I am hearing it but the day before it was gone and before that it was there again. It's not too awful loud like you could drownd it out with a slight crank of the volume but I mostly drive with the radio off. Anyone else know what I mean? I think I'm probably going to take it on in the dealership like I was the 1st time I started hearing it and I made an appointment then the damn thing went away so I canceled it. LOL

By the by you can get a killer deal at the old dealership if you go in to purchase 2 or 3 trucks as a group thing. Me and my buddy talked to one salesperson and got the price way down. Which is kind of a rare thing that we both just so happened to be buying the same truck the same day. LOL

My vibration:

45-65 MPH- Harmonic vibration through the steering wheel, center console, gas pedal, driver's side floor pan and driver's side seat. It would start at 45 and get worse until about 50 then remain constant until about 65 then would disappear completely. It was similar to the feeling you get from bass coming out of a speaker.

It was not steering wheel shimmy- That was corrected after a couple of shop trips.

It was not bed rebounce- the dampener kinda (not completely) reduced that.

It was not the tires- had 14 of those replaced and road force balanced. Had BFGs to start and ended up with Michelin Pilot LTXs.

It was not the rear axle- Had a couple of those traded out and when I turned it back in it needed another one.

It was not the drive shaft- had 3 of those put on.

Never found out what the problem was or what happened to the truck after I turned it back in. Can't really say as I care either. The new 250 has been great so far!

Good luck to all in vibration nation.
