Oil Guard Filters

Oil Guard Filters
In the past, I bought my oil and fuel fiters from National Fleet Parts. They sell Motorcraft Brand Filters. I checked out the Oil Guard web-site after reading about people using them on this forum. Oil Guard's prices are much cheaper, but I noticed that the filters are not Motorcraft brand. My question is this: Do the fuel and oil filters meet Ford requirements, and will there be any warranty issues by using non-Motorcraft filters? Thanks.

I have only received oil filters from oilguard so far, and when I compared the one installed by the dealer to the one from oilguard it was the same exact thing, same manufacter and same numbers, made in germany. I have ordered fuel filters from oilguard but haven't received them yet so I can't comment.

They have both the OEM filters in the OEM box and the same exact filter without the box for much less.
The units are made by Racor. Give Oilguard a call and they'll clear up any questions for concerns that you might have. Because I live near by, I actually stopped in for a chat and to pick up the filters and save them shipping. Very nice people.

Yup, that's right, as far as I could tell by looking at them they were the same items. And Oilguard told me they are the same actual units as well.
I went for the $11 version. Seems to be working fine. I'll see what my oil analysis shows next change but I don't believe that I'll see any difference.
