Kymco, Kazuma, Jackel and other "off-brand" ATVs

I have been looking at these ATVs - mostly just on the internet. I have seen a few (in person) from various import companies. I wonder if anybody here has any experience with them.
Many also offer decent looking dirt bikes and scooters.
Seems many of them have engines, and maybe transmission/final drives, maybe more stuff, that are cloned copies of Honda or Yamaha.
Most look to be reasonably well built - but arguably not up to the same level of refinement as a Honda, Yamaha, etc.
BUT, they are a lot less expensive. I can buy a new 250 with front rear rack, shaft drive, etc for about $2500-$3000.
Here is an example:http://www.strmotorsports.com/showro...250/index.html
I have seen some for less $$.
They have one year warranty and appear to share many parts with one of the big four Japanese mfgrs.
I know some will say: "Don't buy one. You are better off with a good used Honda."
That might well be true. But, I'd still like any input from anyone with first hand experience.

Go google "kymco complaints" or "kazuma complaints". I didn't find much, but there are some foreign press reviews of a couple of these.

Probably ok for a short or closed loop trail ride, and if you consider them disposable, since there is virtually no dealer and parts network.

We have a PTO mount chipper/shredder made by a off-brand company, and if you break parts on it they are hard to find and it takes a long time to get them. You might consider this in your decision. On the other hand, if you can afford some downtime if when something breaks, it may be better to get one of these cheaper (price wise) ATV's
