i like the cold but i hate the wind! but i really really really hate the road guys. they put so much freaking salt down on the roads its horrible! the streets in my neighborhood are white! i dont want any more rust on my truck. thats one good thing about canada, no salt, only sand. one of my buddies bought a truck that came from canada. its a 1990 and there's NO rust on it! not even on the frame! im jealous, but the inside of it is falling apart. his girlfriend pulled off the door panel shutting the door! oh, well. only a few more months of this cold and salt!
I'm don't enjoy the cold as much as I did as a younger man. For decades Fairmontman's Dad and I worked outside every day. Hot or cold, wet or dry, we kept at it. We figured it's what made us the tough old guys we are. In a few months the cold will be a memory and the heat a topic. That's what the midwest is all about,...we can handle it.

Warrencowboy,
I totally agree with you on hating all this road salt! The streets here are white, too! I have to wash my 92 Flareside like every other day to keep the salt off of it. My Flareside has no rust on it, and I want to keep it that way.
My. Aren't we fussy John........Just teasing you. I am learning about the salty roads but, cold gets into the bone on me and I can't move. So, until I see a warm up, my truck will stay looking like a dirty girl.
NY uses more salt ...I hauled a horse trailer to Sandusky and picked up a fancy horse trailer in Auburn and my truck was WHITE !!
had it washed in Atlanta the next day ...in warm climes !
