Question How can I tell?

I recently picked up a used '03 F250 SD, V10, 4X4, SB, tow pkg, w/28K miles. Previous owner did some mods - 285/75R16s, what looks like about a 3" lift, springs, K&N filter and a Banks TransCommand. Looks like there's some extra harnessing under the dash, but that seems to be for a communications rig. (believe he was in law enforcement) That's all I can tell so far, but I'm new to this. Just liked the truck and it runs sweet.

What I'd like to know is if I can tell if he's 'chipped' it. Can anyone advise me?
Thanks.

First, take a look at the computer box. You'll see the chip sticking out of the back if its chipped. Or, take it to Autozone and get them to read codes from the computer (free). It'll give a P0603 code if its chipped or tuned.

Smile Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply Ken. I'll check out Autozone. Didn't see anything
unusual on the computer, so I'll have the programming checked.
