What Tires will fit on 2005 F-350

Does anyone know if anyone makes tires for the 2005 F-350 besides Continental. I have the Continental Conti Trac Tr size 275/70/18 on my truck. These tires are peices of fluff! They are good for dry roads and that is it. I spun out twice in a light rain at 5mph. I am new to the site and am glad I joined. Thanks Big George

I also have the Continental tires and I agree with your appraisal of them. I recently got in touch with Continental tires and asked them if the tires are M&S or AT's (I paid extra for the AT option). They specifically answered that the tires are for the highway and are NOT AT's. Tomorrow I will be phoning the dealership to either get new tires or at the very least my money back for the upgrade that I did not receive.

Nitto, Pro Comp and Toyo make tires for the 18" rim. I am getting 33's on my 05. Not sure what the Conti's are doing on there.

I put some 325-65-r18 (35"x13") Nitto Grapplers on my F350 CC 4X4 on the factory rims and I'm very happy with mine. If you want to see it just look in my gallery. And I agree with with you the Continental's are a joke.

Nice Truck! Hopefully my truck will be in soon. Do you get alot of tire noise from those Nitto's and how do they work on wet pavement? How much do they run for the set? I plan to change those Continentals off my truck.

They work real well on wet pavement. And I find the noise to be a very acceptable level. A little louder than BFG's I've had in the past but not even close to mudders. As far as price I got mine for $630 out the door with my Continentals as trade in. I had less than 100 miles on the Cont. before I traded them in.

I also paid $300.00 for all terrain tires on my truck. I went to the dealer and they will not give me a refund. I called ford and they couldnt help me either. I would take the Firestones that came on my 2001 F-250. They were better than the Garbage on my 2005. I bought the Lariet thinking Ford put the best stuff on them. Everybody I talk to with 2004-2005 Superdutys seems to be nickel and dimed by Ford. I dont want to put a different size on till my warentee is up. I went Bigger on my 2001 and the dealer Refused to fix my truck under warentee. I switched dealerships with my 2005 but it seems like nothing has changed.

Continental 'Junk' Tires

Guys and Gals/

We need to stick together on this one. FORD has made a huge mistake by selecting these Continental Tires for our trucks. They are horrible in the rain and even worse in snow. Downright scary and dangerous compared to the other 4 Ford trucks that I have owned.
I have a driveway that is on a slight incline. Yesterday we had approx. 3" of powdery fluffy snow and (in 4WD) (with my 8'6 Boss Plow) on the truck I could not climb up my driveway without a "running" start. I actually had to back out across the street and climb the driveway with momentum to get up. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
A 50K truck with tires that are totally unacceptable!!!!
CALL FORD and COMPLAIN!!! LET them know that these tires are POOR QUALITY and that we will not accept anything less than all-terrain tires.
Especially when you have a 4X4 with the FX-4 Option (OFF ROAD PKG)
With tires like this, I hope FORD is prepared to offer TOWING assistance when we slide off the road and get stuck as a result of this obvious oversight on their behalf.!!!!!
Even the competitiors do not use these pieces of .
I have an appt. today to see my dealer to "discuss the issue"

Cool

Please let us know the outcome of your meeting. My dealer wont replace them because they say why didnt I say somthing at time of purchase. I have also complained to Ford but it seems they really dont care. According to the continental web site these tires are street tires for SUVs. I also plow with my truck. Do you have any ballest in the bed? I put 500lbs in mine and it helped a little. The bottom line is these tires are garbage and they do not belong on$40000.00 Lariets

2005 F-250 tire problems

Having the same problem with my 2005 F250 4x4 which came with Pirelli265/70R. They are supposed to be M&S tires, but on my first drive across wet grass, I got stuck, even 4 whl drive did not help. Unbelievable that they supply the truck with these.

My dealer has been very uncooperative so far, who at Ford did you contact to complain?

Yep. I paid extra for AT tires and got Contis as well. Now I've got 1600 miles on those highway tires that are unsafe on ice and snow. While you're at it, check for your extra fuses - there are none, even on my Lariat.

My 2004 F-250 came with Goodyear Wrangler AT/S, M+S LT 257/65R18, which I like.
