Smile Polyethelne gas tank repair.

Can somebody give a guy an idea of how to repair a poly tank. It has a very small rub hole. Or a web site with the info. Thanks...

there isn't really a repair for poly tanks, more of a quick fix. any local parts house has gas resistant plastic epoxy thats really the only thing to do besides replace the tank

The epoxy will not stick to polyethylene. There is no repair, only replacement.

Polyethylene can be welded using plastic welding techniques. I'm not sure how it would work on a gas tank or if you could find someone willing to do it. Try entering "polyethylene welding" into google. Plastic welding, like metal welding, is an aquired skill.
