Smile Anybody got $9000 they can spare????

I realize money is tight this time of year but does anybody got $9000 grand I can borrow??LOL!! Ebay item # 4510545258 is a limited edition 1969 Mustang with the I think a Boss 429.This car was produced for the sole purpose of getting the Engine qualified for Nascar races.(For this car I think $9000.00 grand is a steal!!)It has the Factory nascar tag and original window sticker.Manufactures were required to produce x amount of these for public sale in order to meet nascar competition requirements. This may be the only one some of us ever get to see in our lifetimes so if you get a chance check it out.I am hoping to contact the owner and see if I can check it out in person on tomorrow(12-9-04).The car is in Tennensee and I have a truck to pick up in Indiana so if I can arrange it I would like to get some extra pic's of it.

Sure, I'll lend it to you. First I'll need 14 forms of identification, then a $15,000 cash deposit, which will be returned after the loan is paid off. Oh, and I'll need your fax number so I can fax you the check......

Looks like a highjacked account. Car doesn't even have a location - it ships world wide.

I was curious and sent the guy an email. Since he only has a buy it now price of $9500, but no "Buy It Now" button .. if that meant that if I bid the $120 and no one else bid, did I win the car? I then suggested that if he wants a RESERVE price on the car, that he'd better close that auction and reopen it properly, or he would be required to sell the car for the highest bid. Let's see if he removes it or what happens. If something sells, it is a legal contract that even the seller is expected to follow. Someone want to bid $120 for a Boss 429?

The 2nd set of numbers is the one that takes you to the car.

These are the scams you hear about. I investigated an harley with an unbelivable buy it now price of $1200. He wanted me to send money via western union and such. If you search hard enough, you will find that the pics for the auction were prbably stolen from another site and if the car is actually for sale, it is selling for far more than the stated price on Ebay.
Email him and ask him for the Vin number and I bet he tells you the car is somewhere else and he is just listing it for someone else.
Than ask him for a contact number to the person that owns the car and you will get anopther excuse.
Walk away dude, before you get taken.

I agree, a machine like this would easily go for 4X $9500, and would have at least 30 bids with less than 1 day left on the auction.

No to mention that the starting price would also be in the $8K minimum range.

It's a hoax.

I agree it's a hoax. No way would somebody sell a car like that for that price. Wish I still had my 1965 Pontiac GTO. Would be worth a whole lot more than I paid for it.

It's a one day listing too, usually these cars are on like 7-10 day listings so that they are able to get the most out of it, that's not right

66f14 ,,,Check your email .. I sent you a link to report it on eBay. And it is listed at this link http://www.duffys.com./results.asp?stocknum=4012311

EDIT: I already reported the fraudulent sale via their complicated reporting system. But it wouldn't hurt if you did the same. I included the link to the duffys site. And thank you for finding it on Duffys & letting me know.
