My truck sits in the driveway now with 150,023 miles on it.
150,000 is not THAT many miles but it is something of a milestone.
Particularly so when I consider the total repair costs to-date:
$19 for a rear ABS sensor
$2 for replacement bulb in the dash lighting.
My 2000 F150 has been the best, most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned (or driven as a company car).
Still driving w/ factory clutch and original rear brakes.
IMHO - the Japanese imports are no better than my Ford.

I second that opinion. I was commenting on the size of the Tundra vs. our Fords. Exterior wise, they look quite hefty, but on the inside I think we have much more room. And that's coming from me, who has a std. cab 2000
156,000 on my 1997. Still with factory clutch. I've been pulling a 17ft bassboat since I bought this thing in 1999. I've got a misfire now(not plugs or wires) but this is the first problem I've ever had. Best of the 3 Fords I've owned over the last 20 years.
Better drive more dude, I'm gonna catch ya. Just kidding, '02 , just broke 145k,and still rolling. Factory clutch, brakes (front and rear).I got 112k out of the original General tires that came on the truck. Congrats Brian, oh yeah, next spring, I'm gonna put a few hundred miles on to The Dragon. Probably gonna stay in Franklin, when I set a date, I'll let you know.
I jinxed myself!!
151,000 miles and my alternator gave out.
$140 and one hour and all is well.
Biggest hassle was reinstalling the darned serpentine belt!
Re: The Dragon - I'll be there! Gotta' get new tires.
Both tires broke free in a tight right hander. The side of the sole of my right boot hit the road, while my boot was still on the peg. Basically I wrecked but just never hit the ground. Don't ask me how I managed to recover...... I couldn't tell you.
The Good Lord was looking out for you, just like he was looking out for me this summer, when I met that guy coming down Cheaha Mtn. in reverse in my lane. I gotta get a new front tire also, the back one is good. My alternator went out at about 110k, I feel your pain.
What goes on the alt? Brushes maybe?
I have 80k on my 99, other than bad mpg on the winter gas up in SD all is great. Thease motors will do 200k+ easy, I sold my 90 Merc cougar with 200k on the 3.8L (smaller vs. of 4.2L) and did not use a drop of oil and still had same power as new.

Most of my miles are highway, but even so, I put 'em on real fast. If you look down into my oil filler, with a flashlight, it looks like my engine was put together last week.Clean and shiny.
