Does anyone use a hard tonneau?

I have a colormatched SnugFit SL on my 04. Great lid, IMO. The bottom of it really compliments my BedRug, too!

The problem is that it is DARK in there at night! I was looking for a simple lighting solution to light up the bed at night. Got any?

My A.R.E has a battery powered light that works ok.You dont have to run wires. Can buy at home center . They come in several styles.

I can't tell from the pics, how does the top lock down?

My leer has latches in both rear corners,

I can't see anything on the cover itself.

There are latches on the inside of both sides that are operated by a flush mounted key hole on top. It is a very clean design.

I was at Wal-Mart yesterday and saw some battery operated flourescent lights. I think I'll go with those. Thanks for the suggestions!

Take a look in my Gallery. I have the ARE LSII. I love it. Auto locking (integrated with my key chain lock) and light. They have wired versions or battery versions.

My wife was just asking me to put a light under our tonneau. That Wal-mart light sounds like the ticket.
I was thinking about running a power tap and a mercury switch, but heck with it, batteries are cheap.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I think I need a bed rug. They're looking better and better the more I see pictures of them. I was worried I'd get it too dirty, but I don't think so. I rarely haul anything filthy. The comfort would be a plus for me.

Yes - great for warm claimate areas but useless where there is ice and snow. They sure would be handy to roll back just a little to get in the end of the truck box.

Actually

Actually from what I hear it still works well in Ice and Snow, the way the bearings and moving parts are covered, you would have to have a major sheet of ice accross the top to have it keep you from getting in. I know that is possible, but usually not a daily occurrance... In which case, you open the gate and are set!

I love mine. I'd sleep in the back of the truck if my wife weren't so darn good looking...and warm.

I would love to get one, but I am fond of my tool box, making a hard tonneau a custom proposition.

I hear that Retrax www.RollTopCover.com will custom one for you to work with your tool box, shouldnt be more since it would be less material I am guessing.
