5w20 revisited

I just wanted to check back and see if two things have happened: A) has anyone had a major warranty repair done with something other than 5w20 in the engine and if so, how did that go? and; B) what is the highest number of miles anyone has with exclusive 5w20 use and how is it performing? I have 6,200 miles on my '02 3.0 egde and am still using 5w20 due to this gray area of warranty coverage. Any other ideas?

5w-20 is the preferred oil. but you can use 5w-30 or even 10w-30. infact all those engines were orginally spec'ed at 5w-30 they just changed to 5-20 to get .5mpg increase in the CAFE(?) corperate average fuel economy(?) so they can sell more big trucks and less little ones If they told me having 10w-30 voided my warrenty I would fall over laughing cuz whoever said that is a dip.(not that the dealer people are all the smart anyway)
