"A friend of mine..." isn't a valid reason. Please use facts or PERSONNAL experiences to substantiate statements
The Dodges, speaking from personal experience, are not good on gas. Your choice should be based also upon cab configuration. If you go for a crew cab, then all gas mileages will be relatively the same. The F150 might be slightly better because the Tacoma crew cab will make you have the tendency to step on it more due to the relatively small engine compared to the truck size. Check out the link in my previous post for some really informative FACTUAL numbers.

Zoltrix, you say you're paying about $65 - $70. I'm assuming per fill up. How often do you fill up? I'll tell you what. My Ranger (3.0 auto s/cab) gets 500 km to a tank on average. Depending on the way I drive anyway. I can go to and from work, for 2 weeks on a tank of gas. And when gas prices are around 93 cents/liter, I pay about $65 per tank anyway.
A guy at work has a Dakota Quad Cab, 4.7l V8 Auto 4x4. He gets between 350 and 400 kms per tank, with a bigger tank than mine.
Another thing, I had a boss who had an Expedition, with the 4.6. He was getting better mileage than his wife who drove an Explorer with the 4.0.
