'97 van PSD into '95 F250?
My '95 F-250 PSD spun a main bearing and I found a '97 PSD out of a E-350 van to replace it. Questions before I buy:
1. Will I have any problems bolting up the longblock into my truck (E4OD)? The reason I ask is junkyards have 2 different 7.3 engines listed for '95, "8- bolt hole fuel intake to head" and "10-bolt hole fuel intake to head". I am assuming this denotes the difference between the IDI 7.3 and the PSD 7.3, and since both motors in this swap are PSDs I shouldn't have a problem, right?
2. Did they upgrade the PSD in '97 with a stronger crank or something? If so the newer engine with only 87,000 miles would be a good selling point, right?
3. Anything else I need to know before I tackle this swap? Other than the sheer bulk of the engine is it that much more difficult than a gas motor?
Thanks,
Darel
