star wheel direction passenger rear brakes

I have a 93 aerostar and I can not find a good known picture of the passenger rear brakes assembly. I need to find out if the star wheel and cable goes on in the opposite direction of the drivers side. I keep having an issue with the passenger rear brake locking up when I even tap on the brakes. Any help or photos world be greatly appreciated.

Look to see where the adjuster goes in. that will be the side the cable and lever hookup.

The issue I have is that I am not sure if I installed the cable and starwheel backwords. Since it can be installed either way, at least I believe it can be.

It can be, but do you have the knock out in the backing plate? thats were the star goes.

I will check into that, do these rear brakes have issues over tightening the star wheels?

The star wheel adjusters are stamped with a R and a L, right or left, makesure no one switched them around or replace the right with a left. The adjusting pivot nuts can be I.D. by the number of lines around around the body of the nut, one line left side, 2 lines right hand side. the lever and cable should always be on the rear shoe. with the threaded end facing the front shoe. the only thing that cause problems if some put the wrong star wheel in or swapped sides.

Not normally, you can do a quick check by pulling on the cable manually, it should only go one click than return for the next adjustment..
