DUI Distributor/Air Cleaner Clearance?

I just installed a fresh 400 with a DUI distributor. The stock air cleaner doesn't come close to fitting anymore because it hits the distributor. Is anyone else there running one of these units that has found a way to run a stock style air cleaner with it? Maybe something off of another vehicle that worked for you?

Arrow try a carb spacer

278,

I've a DUI on my 400 engine and had to place a carb spacer with offset air cleaner base to even fit my ramairbox. I'd suggest finding a smaller diameter, but taller height air cleaner (junk yard trip). I tried the stock replacement and even the larger 460 air cleaner, but neither works without hitting the DUI. There's the possibility of trimming the stock air cleaner to fit or placing an adaptor between the air cleaner and carb (sorta like a 5-1/8" diameter PVC pipe).
