Dana 70 Left Handed Thread?

Could a Dana 70 Dually have Left handed threaded wheel studs on the left side? This Dana 70 (#40235) is out of a Doner 83 E350. Also, anyone know where I can get more info on the axle using the ID Number?

Thanks

Unless your truck is from Mars, the wheel studs should be right handed.

Yes! Quite likely.

If you rub down the end of the stud to remove the road grime you should see a "L". If you have them, make sure you put a drop of oil on the two piece nut (where the nut and washer join) before you put it back on and torque it down (usually min. 150+ pounds).

Dana axles of this era(and older) do indeed have left hand thread studs on the drivers side.
Heck, my 00 F250 has a left hand thread spindle on the drivers side rear...

Left handed hub Bolts?

The lug bolt studs ARE left handed on the drivers side of my 83 dana 70. Could the left side rear axle hub bolts also be left handed? Can't seem to get any loose. Been usin PB Blaster and my impact wrench.
