Charles in Pensacola! Are you O.K.?

Watching the news before I came to work this morning and see that Pensacola got hit pretty bad by IVAN.

Charles in Pensacola - we hope you, your family and truck are o.k.

Best case, he has no power and won't be logging in for a while, but worst case, we may not hear from him for a long time.

Anyway, hope you aren't suffering too badly and wish there was something we could do other than just think of you.

I spoke with John, he said he got his family out of Mobile, AL and up to his place a couple days ago. They were expecting to be powerless for a week in many areas. Charles works in the Sheriffs Dept and probably not able to evacuate. Check in when you can buddy!

I don't remember Charle's handle anymore, but unfortunately the last time I spoke with forum members offline Ferg was fighting terminal cancer. Or John's "cousin Ferg as we referred to him. He was a special one and put a lot of work into articles for this forum.

My peak posting was probably 1999-2005. I was here day and night. You were starting some high quality build threads before I left. I took my truck serious but it was non-stop shenanigans for me and well over a dozen guys. You'd recognize most of them. I have a 53. Red with Volare and chrome steelies. Flamed hood and interior panels. I will dig up a pic soon but it doesn't look the same now.

Good to see you back and the chance to get to know you again..I got here by invite of John Niolon when I was thinking of a tilt front end for my panel..I remember Ferguson777 and some of the cool mods he did to his truck. He was in the Ottawa area and I had hoped one day of getting down that way, he sold the truck and left the sight..

I never met Robert in person. I did meet well over a dozen forum members during that time and got to visit some shops and projects. Shows of course and a few meet ups. That made it more personal of course. I was amazed to see how many are still around and posting now and then.

I'm pretty sure Fergie passed away a couple of years ago. A huge loss, he was a great guy. We had some great discussions on the forum and in private emails.

O/T but in the same vein... Do any of you remember a guy who lived in Cali, worked in a boatyard of some sort. He came back to his shop one day and a dirtbag pulled a gun on him as he was driving up, so he nailed the guy -- pinned him against the building. I can't think of the guy's handle.
