How to Factory Tachometer 1980-1986 F-Series

Now I know to add a tach to a truck that did not have one you will need the tach (picture you posted) and the printed circuit for a tach.
I remember reading there are 3 printed circuits: no tach & lights, no tach & gauges, tach & gauges.
I swapped in a tach & printed circuit in to my 81 F100 that had just gauges no tach.
I think there is also a jumper wire that may need to be put into place, mine was in place and tach worked when I started the motor.

factory tach in 1981 F-100
Guys,
I have a 1981 Ford F100 originally a 300 straight six, standard 4 speed with aluminum case overdrive Many years ago I found a factory instrument cluster with gauges and a tachometer. The factory number on the back is E1TF-10C956-B. If I'm not mistaken, according to an earlier post, this is the correct factory part for my truck. Now we've put a 351 winsdor in the engine bay...some problems but getting close to the end. When we went to start the engine last night, no spark from the coil wire. Wire harness on driver's side is not in such good condition.
1. My understanding is the plug on the back of the existing instrument cluster should work on the instrument cluster I salvaged that has a tach. Is that correct?
2. Anybody have any idea where I can get a partial wire harness for my truck? It should have the distributor plug, the water and oil sensor, and the plastic fitting that goes over the new stock coil.
Couldn't find anything at LMC truck or American auto wire or summit racing
LMC seems to have just one big product for 600 dollars?
Thanks for info,
John

The tachometer should be correct for your truck. You can try to find the Duraspark wiring harness from another truck [mid 70's to mid 80's]; just make sure it is not a computer controlled truck.
Or, you can use one like this:
