FORD v10 cylinder#1 misses. Changed COP & plug.
Hi. I 'm new here, but I find a lot of awesome info. here.
I have a 99' F-250 V10. I have been blowing COP's on my #1 cylinder for a couple of days. #1 is the only one that does it. The new coil works great on #2 cylinder. I even changed spark plugs when changing the COP. I blew another new one, and this last time, blew the #2 coil I swapped it with. I only get 3 to 10 miles before it starts to miss, and the COP is totally dead, no spark whatsoever.
Please help! I'm out of ideas.

Are you replacing the boot also ? look for cracks in the boots ,it causes this.
Look at the connectors(pins ) to see that they are not loose causing a high resistance in the circuit .
There is also a ignition transformer capacitor in this circuit which I think shunts to ground ,maybe its open .in looking at schematics its tied in with the RD/lg wire going to pin 1 of every coil 1-5 .
Just some thoughts
