Headers...again

Well, it's official...I am getting a set of MAC Headers at least by Christmas. They are $310.26 total for the headers shipped to my door. The only thing that sucks is that I will have to order them and more than likely wait about 2 months or more to get them in. They have to special make them when you order them...so it's good and bad. It's good because you get a brand new set of headers not even more than a couple of days old made for you right there for about 300 bucks...bad 'cause it sucks to wait that long. These are equal length headers that will give you a pretty decent power difference. I don't think I'll have them until Christmas though...that's the crappy thing, but I'll let you all know how they work out.

Oh...my bad Homer. Just go to www.macperformance.com and click on the Ford link...well nevermind, just look at this:

http://www.macperformance.com/store/...Product_ID=754

Now, use your imagination...cut 2 pipes off, and you get the 4.2 Headers. Garrett, they have 1 pair in stock left over, but I can't order them right this second. I'll have to wait until the beginning of October.

Ahh, good news...I thought I was gonna need to reburn my chip, but you don't have to reburn for shorty headers. That made my day...25 bucks I can save for the dyno I plan on doing. You all wish me luck on the install...Garrett, I may call you for help dude. I'm kinda newb when it comes this stuff.

Nope, I lost it or forgot it one or the other...

I think they should go on pretty easily. Direct replacements should anyways.

Hey, do headers void your warrantee?

Shouldnt...Not unless they are the direct reaqson for other stuff breaking.

The JBAs are direct replacement, and those took 9 or so hours

I bet they would void your warranty, Ford will do anything not to waste their company money

They can try, but Im sure you can fight it....But if you are worried about warrenty, your best bet is to NOT install anything else.

If it really bothered you and you still want the headers REALLY bad I would just put them on and then possibly have them changed back to stock if something went wrong and the headers could have been the problem, or atleast along the way. But that is taking things a little too far now..

I'm pretty sold on getting them. I'm pretty sure I could fight it out, but that's a headache I don't want to have. I think I'll just call the dealership and ask the head manager or something. They almost gave me beef about the MAC Intake I have. Can you believe that? How on Earth would that void a warrantee? Anyways, I'm still pretty darned sure I'm getting them...warrantee or not.

1 1/2 to 2 years or 36,000 miles...whatever comes first.

I'm at 15,000 miles right now.
