I have a 83 Ford F250, 460 that needs the Stator replaced on the distributor. I am having a tough time getting the distributor out. I have had two dealers tell me how to do this, one said to pull the distributor the other said to remove the armature and then two screws and it is out. I haven't purchased the part yet so I don't know how it is installed. Does anyone have the correct method to replace the stator in the bottom of the distributor? Thanks for any information you can provide.
