4.6 lag or dead sopt

everytime i step on the gas hard the truck falls on its face before it comes alive. does anybodyelse have this prob.? and what can we do about it?
6" lift w/35" tires // airforce one intake . but the prob. was present before instalation of any of this . thanks

I think I know what you are talking about...it feels soft, right? A little dull then it kicks in. How bout some pics of your ride, I want to get a 6" w/ 35s as well

I have now moved on to a superduty but 4 months ago I owned a F150 with the 4.6L auto and it too had a dead spot. If I remember right it was really noticable at about 2300 rpms. I got a chip made by superchip and it did the trick.

The dealer can flash your cpu and that will fix the problem. I had the same problem and there is a new update that will fix it.
