97 Eddie Bauer needs new JBL subwoofer, how to replace?

JBL replace
I have a 96 explorer with the JBL radio and I want to replace it for the standard radio that comes with the other explorers. But that radio has an antenna input and the jbl doesn't, I think that the antenna signal goes in with the wires connector in the back. So, can I jus cut one of the cables of the connector and plug it in at the antenna input? And what wire should it be? Thanks.

The antenna wire comes through the firewall under the glovebox on the right some. There is usually a regular wire with it. A connector is right past that to take it apart. There is a special adapter that most wal-mart or best buy sells to make the connection to a standard radio antenna. However mine was almost too short and is barely in the back of the radio. Your wiring for a regular radio won't match up with the JBL I believe. I don't know if they have an adapter for that either. Most people just use an aftermarket radio and don't fool with an older factory radio unless you just want that stock look.
