I'm here...

Hey there, I typically don't hop on the board unless something is wrong with my truck. My absence means that the truck is running well

I think it was a year ago, I had it in the garage with 4x4 boards propping up the engine while I was changing out the oil pan... So far, so good.. no leaks.

And my stuttering overdrive (when I bought it) has been cured for over a year now with a simple transmission fluid change. 133k miles currently. (125k on the original tranny fluid in the AODE heh...)

Still hauling my junk, and getting me to work.

It seems Ford transmissions are more resistant to grenading when new fluid is thrown in...then their Chebbie counterparts. I may have to rethink my view on that subject. This is like 5+ Ford's doing well after a high mileage change...yet Chebbie's NEVER handle it.

Lol Absense=good. Noted, good sir. ^_^

high mileage change... ya mean the ones where they forget the tranny should be changed and wait until the problems start to change?

Hey Luke, these Forums down here don't have to be technical, as you can tell, this is where we generally BS and have fun picking on the young 'uns... Right Saurian??????

Seems to be the modus opporendi.

Exactly what I meant. Changing a transmission fluid at 125k miles...baaad. I just meant that Ford's seem to stand up "better" to it and respond better, while Chebbies seem to tank.
