Talking Thoughts from Van Halen concert

I saw Van Halen in concert in Oklahoma City sunday nite. All I can say is they are most excellent! The venue, Ford Center, had good acoustics, I had great seats, and Toby Keith made a surprise visit. The band looks like they really like each other again, and apologized several times for their antics since 1996. If you have a chance to see them this tour, don't miss it.

Van Halen? Or Van Hagar? I lost track of who is touring this time. I will say though, KISS is touring & they are as great as always.

I heard about TK's visit... I wish I had been there. They said Sammy started singing "I love this bar" and TK came out and sang it with him, that rocks. Well, maybe I can get tickets to see TK and Van Halen will crash the concert

Too bad, I'd really like to see the original lineup back together.

Well, I think you can forget DLR getting back with them. Sammy is a consummate frontman, and really makes contact with the audience.

I don't think Eddie is going to last much longer - he looked like Keith Richard's brother out there. He smoked at least 3 cigarettes during the concert, and this is after only 1.5 years after beating tongue cancer.

Yeah - Apparently David Lee Roth has been talking to VH about getting back together and the response so far from VH has been "NO".
