5.0 1" Spacer on '96
I recently had my upper plenum off my '96 to replace the EGR Valve. Since I had it off, I installed a 1" spacer. My question is, do I need to make any other tweaks to the throttle bottle or other areas for proper performance. I noticed a definite increase in throtle response, but it doesn't want to idle until it warms up and then it idles a little rough. Not sure if I have a vacuum leak or just needs tweaking?
Any help would be appreciated.

It will do that on idle because your engine's sensors are set to a specific amount of air flow. Since the spacer changes it a small degree, it takes the sensors a minute to adjust. I have it on mine as well - does the same thing. Best thing to do it just give it a few more seconds to warm up.
There is nothing that needs to be adjusted because of the spacer. One thing you might want to do is take the IAC motor off the throttle body and clean it with carb cleaner, starting fluid, gas, etc. Use a q-tip to get some of the more stuborn carbon out of it. It will help your idle smoothen out some. I clean mine about every 15,000 miles when I do the oil change...
