I'm looking for a C6 transmission for my '77 preferably in good working condition anyone have one or know where I can get a good used one?

 

what kind of c6 and where are you close too?? What city in tn

 

I am in Centerville, TN about 50 miles sw of Nashville. I have a 2wd 77 ford I understand that just about any c6 within those years will fit it.

 

hey thats great im in jackson and the c6 i have just came out of a 77 150 lwb
i bought the truck for the engine and the tranny was good also but the body had seen many better days.
if you are interested i have 2 c6 trannies and one was a spare given to me but all my trucks are 4x4's and of no use to me. the 2nd tranny needs the pan and to be rebuilt as far as i know but the one i just took out is in good shape. i'l give the 2nd one to you if you want to get the good one.

as for the trannies i have : the 2 are 2wd . i guess i was typing faster than i could think or vise sersa. lol.

Don't forget that the C6 bolt pattern must match the engine as well!! The Windsors had one pattern; the FE's had a pattern all their own; and the 351M-400 and the 429-460 had another pattern.
