I want to test the fuel pump relay. (Actually, I want to beat on it with a hammer) Anyhow, does anyone know exactly where this badboy can be found? I have looked for this mystical item in the under-hood fuse box, but all that I see is fuses. I went to four local auto parts store and all that they can do is sell me a part, which means I haven't found the right person yet. The replacement part pulled from the parts store shelves look to be measure about 1 inch square at the base and about 2.5 inches long. Does this sound right? Thanks all.

Thanks, but all that I see are what appear to be larger-than-normal fuses (really big blade-type). I still don't see any relays; perhaps they are found elsewhere on a '92 Ranger. Thank you for your reply.

Also, I have looked at the new relay and I see nothing resembling it under the hood.
