retrofitting ac in my 1997 ranger

I may have asked in the past about adding AC to a non-ac truck with a couple of trips to the bone yard. I realize this might be a daunting task, but how about the SCS Frigette systems that are "custom fit" How are they installed is it too much for a fairly mechanically inclined guy to tackle?
Has anyone done it?

Any vehicle you know of with it?

Thanks
Bryan

Just get the factory parts. Yes, you can retrofit stuff in, but you still need brackets and stuff and those would probably need to be fabricated. AC retrofit kits were more common way back when AC was not always even a factory option. These kits would often provide the required brackets. Today just about everything is available with AC, so the parts are not that hard to get.
