curious to know about any trips you all have taken to cancun. I plan on honeymooning in the Moon Palace Resort. Any must dos?

 

i just returned from there on sat. very nice, very humid!!!! we went to the Myan ruins!! that was amazing, you can find a tour of it in a van and they give you drinks and lunch, it is an all day trip but very worth it!! there are also plenty of other tours to do, swim with the dolphins, snorkel on some reefs etc... any tourist activity you can think of!! the clubs are awesome if you are into that, we went to senor frogs and COCO bongo which is like a vegas show and a night club in one. most of the clubs are like $30 us to get in but that is for all the drinks you can have during the night. coco bongo was 28 to get in with 10 free drinks. i have heard the "city" is a great night club also. ride the bus rather than taking taxies, much cheaper the bus is 6 pesos which is like 60 cents the taxis will cost 5 or 6 dollars. but you can barter for everything, and i mean every thing!! great times, let me know if you have any other questions. don't forget to look for the LOBOs (f-150s)

 

You have to go to Senor Frogs. Great place, good food. We also went to Xcaret, which is A kind of water park. They have buses pick you up at the hotels.
Pirate16 is correct, buses are the way to go.

 

Went once- never again. The city of Cancun is frightening; if you go out of the Hotel Zone, you're out of your mind. Went with a group, one of us fell down a flight of slippery concrete steps and screwed up his back. Went to the hospital- he took one look at the conditions, found out his health insurance was not honored, and decided to live with the injury and pain till we got back to the states. The beaches are beautiful, but there MUST be some other place you can look at.
