Fat Fendered Ford has a new ride!

Heh, heh. Yeah, I'm starting a new trend. Pics forthcoming. For those with active imaginations just picture a big wheelbarrow. The truck has an empty engine bay and is missing the bed, rear springs and axle.
Got the truck from fatfenders for those wondering how the heck he knows about it. I sure wish his brother-in-law hadn't thrown away the original axle. We got it on the trailer OK but I had to use my original rear end to unload it back home. We strapped the axle to the frame a lot closer to the cab than it would normally be. Made for a real short wheelbase which kept it from bottoming out on the trailer ramps. Unfortunately, the rear wheels were a few inches narrower than the front. The fronts have aluminum mags and wider tires. Made things interesting when the front end kept trying to climb the sides of the ramps after we set them for the rear axle. The wheelbase was so short that the truck had all four wheels on the ramps at the same time so we couldn't adjust them. But we unloaded it without much incident and Dad only uttered one expletive within earshot of my sons.
I'll also throw a couple pictures up of my new shed. It's pretty nice which is a bit of an understatement. I'll also update the progress I'm making on my cab in auto body class. Glued the roof skin on during last Saturday's class period. Next up is about a gazillion more dents and a few rusty cab corners.
