Need information on this 400 intake

Can anyone give some info on this Eldelbrock intake?, it's obviously not a performance one.

Doesn't look like the current model Performer to me at all...not the #2171 (Non-EGR) or #3771 (EGR). Is there a model number stamped into it? I see the numbers on the front, but is there a model number near the rear? Call Edelbrock:

1-800-416-8628 from 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday, PST

#2171:

#3771:

like it says right on there "S P 2 P." that is the name of the intake. it's an economy manifold that will do well at low end with highway gears, it's not gonna make ***** out power in a high performance application.

Is that the SP2P that has been floating around on eBay for a while? Those intakes did not work well at all which is one reason they were discontinued. Somebody posts a question about one every few months here.

Yeah, thats an SP2P manifold. About the only good thing about them was you could bolt a 4 barrel to them, performance from them was about the same as a stock 2 barrel though.

Thanks guys
I didn't get it from ebay, I bought it from a private sale thinking it was a performance intake until someone pointed out to me it wasn't.
Fortunately I sold it on the weekend to a guy who wasn't bothered that it was not a performance intake but I was still curious what the intake was for.

We don't have many 400's in our part of the world.
