Sub stopped working

I put a new head unit in my 98 Navigator and the rear sub stopped working about a month later. The guy at Best Buy said i might have cooked the factory amp? Is this possible? I put the factory head unit back in and still no sound. Any help i could get would be great.

The aftermarket deck most probably put more signal strength then the factory amp could handle. I've seen it happen. Time for aftermarket. I suggest a wall of 12's. Let your neighbors feel it!!!!

Yea, first try hookin another speaker to see if the amp works. If it dont it's probably ur amp that blew.
