Hope someone can help.

I changed the plugs on my 99 e150. Right after this I got a bad shake or miss in the motor when you apply just a little wee bit of gas. when you give a little more gas the shake goes away and when it Idles its ok too. Ten minutes after the plugs went in my check engine light came on. Plugs are not the problem.
I have put in new wires and new plugs again. The miss or shake is still there when you give just a wee bit of gas peddal.e. Engine light is still on. A mechanic
made the problem go away temporarily, he unpluged something to do with the egr valve while it was shaking and the problem went away momentarily. Came right back though. He said I need a new egr valve and solonoid. I then went to an emmisions place and they hooked up that code getting thing and said that it was my Throttle position sensor.
I dont know who to beleive. Are these code plug in things accurate.

 

Under the throttle body is a rubber boot,which has a plastic tube running to the pcv valve.Check the boot,tube,and the hose at the pcv valve for holes.This is a common problem with the 4.2.

Manny just unplug the hose to the egr valve and take the unit for a test ride. That should tell you if you are on the right track. Please tell us what happened.
