Dear Camperspecial65,

I think anything that is in good working shape would be sellable. Some things I have needed were the steering wheel and ring, steering box, pitman arm, and column, instrument cluster, tranny shifter **** (4 spd) inner door panels, dash *****, heater, wiper motor, grille, radio. I guess it depends on how much time you want to spend pulling parts off. The grille and fenders have alot of bolts and take alot of time. Good luck.

Lower parts of the cab if they're in good shape (cowl, mounts, floor...). Any straight and non-rusty sheetmetal.

Good brake drums are something to save. I need some park brake parts that are under the brake drums...L and R sides.

I finally got a god look at it today....doors and fenders are toast....rotted...no step plates in cab even
cluster gone, headliner there(its a wraparound rear glass. )
looks to be a 292 with a 4 on floor all intack, been sitting for many yrs Im told so motor most likely locked up tight. Griile is real nice, not perfect, but I feel worthy of saving....Its got two dings, each about size of a quarter at about mid headlight on each side....one headlight door missing, left is straight, but needs replating as is surface rusty.
Steering wheel fair, cracked, but not as bad as my 65's wheel...its white with worn edges. Has Fresh Aire heater below dash, pitted, but may be rare(please advise)
Its a half ton 2wd. t/gate gone, bed rotted as stated before at rear, havent climbed into bed to look at floor. Its a custom cab, I think one plate is there, left is gone. Has large west coast type mirrors.
Hood looks pretty good from what I have seen of it, has window washers in it(factory option ? please advise )
I have a few of the dash *****, not sucessful in getting others....crusher date is 2 weeks away at least Im told....Let me know....

She sounds well optioned. Grab the magic air box and windshield washer system as they are fairly rare(I don't need these, but ebay'em for a few bucks). Anything worth saving and not to hard to pull save. These trucks are getting more popular day by day. -4speed

big back window glass is always at a premium. Since its crusher stuff get a sawsall or torch and get the whole top back section of the cab. Somebody may want to do a big window conversion.

Are you sure it can't be saved? I always hate seeing these go to the crusher. Thanks for sharing your find. John

Get ALL of the magic aire heater unit, including the adapter that is fastened to the right side of the inside of the cab!
It's held on with 4 screws and connects to the heater unit with a rubber boot.
Those are EXTREMELY hard to find & the unit itself is useless without it!
I see magic aire units on Ebay every now & then but they never come with the adapter!

Thanks 58 for the headsup on the adapter....I will be going back for the heater setup.... If anybody is near Wa state, come take a gander....its definately rough, even by my standards!!! Needs doors/fenders and bed repair and that is all I have seen of it...its got an Olds nose in the bed...If I had acerage I would part it out or sell as a whole....but apartment life doesnt permit such endeavors of love when it comes to cars....this yard is more after recycling than parting.....I could write a book on it....a very very sad book on the deceased cars with a high yield of parts or could be sold as builders....Is that heater grommet on the side you were talkin bout 58 plastic or rubber or steel ??? whats it held on with....screws or small sheet metal bolts....I tried getting a few headliner screws out....I got one half out and my wrist started screaming..........

BTW, if any of ya run into 65-6 goodies, give a holler....
