I just purchased a 1994 F350 4+4 with the 7.3 diesel. It has a brand new automatic trans, but the motor was flooded in a river but everything else was ok. Just wondered If it is possible to put a 7.3 PowerStroke in place of the tired old international? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is obviously room for the engine since Ford introduced the 7.3 PSD halfway through the 1994 model year, but it would require more than a simple engine swap. You would also have to change all the engine electronics, many of which are nonexistant in the IDI. I'm sure it has been done, but it will entail a lot of work.
