Someone made off with the trans dipstick for my 86 F150, and I need to check the fluid level. I've ordered my replacement, but it won't get here until sometime next week. Is there anyone in the DFW area that is near Irving that would mind letting me drive over and use their dipstick?

Alternately, if you are willing to drive over to Irving, near the Irving Mall, it would be appreciated. It *has* to be an 85 or 85 F150, 250, or Bronco 4x4 with an AOD, because Ford made those dipsticks different than the rest.

 

I wish I had 1 but I don't. I live right off Esters and Rochelle.

 

Darn. Oh well...

You may see my truck around; it's black, got white stripes on the side, and the grille and headlight doors are painted black. It's also got a big dent in the passenger side of the bed.

Sorry bud, all my mid 80's are manuals... I've got a 99 F-150... probably different stick though. You may try a trans. shop, see if they have a dead AOD with the dipstick tube and all on it... or a dead vehicle with one you could use for a bit till yours comes in. I'm in Lewisville/Denton.
