Question clutch fluid location?

Just bought a used '01 f150 4.2 v6 w/ 5 speed. Drove good for a week and then the clutch pedal went soft. I haven't bought a book for it yet. Where is my fluid resovoir and would the fluid being low make it feel soft and not shift? Thanks in advance.

Your fluid reservoir is the clutch master cylinder. Look down by your clutch pedal, it connects to the cylinder that runs through the firewall. Pop open your hood and the reservoir is on the firewall, make sure the rubber boot is out if adding fluid, try bleeding the clutch aswell. There is a tech article on how to do this on this site.
