Question Door Hinges Won't Idle

Where is that door hinge idle adjustment? Seriously, I have 2 minor problems that are driving me nuts.

First of all it's an 86 F250 460/4 4x4

1. Can I get door hinges for this thing somewhere? The ones on my driver's door are really bad and I've rigged it with washers under the lower hinge for now. I really want to replace these. Are they available anywhere and are they expensive? Something that can be "easily" rebuilt?

2. Is there an idle adjustment for this? The idle is just slightly low. I'm not overly concerned about what may be causing it if I can just take the idle up a notch I'm not a mechanic and I'm usually broke, so I'm not apt to have a real mechanic look at it. I considered taking some play out of the throttle cable and see if that does anything. I don't see any screws or anything on the carb to adjust the idle.

Yes I'm clueless, but would really appreciate the help.

Added: It's a holly 4180 that was recently rebuilt

The idle adjustment is a screw on the left side (driver's side) of the carb on the throttle body just behind the throttle linkage. It angles up out of the body toward the windsheild. It should have a spring on it to prevent it from moving freely.

If you're adjusting it by the "seat of your pants" method...

After you have adjusted the idle, drive the truck, from a
dead stop the truck should just creep along on just the
idle alone (works with the auto tranny, don't know about
manuals tho...) that's when you know the idle speed is
pretty close to correct.

Not sure how bad your hinges actually are, but you can buy replacement hinge pins and bushings. They fixed my sagging door on my 85 f150, and they're only a few bucks.

For those of you who don't know, many of the auto parts stores carry the HELP line of common older parts like door handles, choke parts etc.
