Remote rear window...
#16
The one in my 911 is a TW-2A and it's tied to an accessory control in an Alpine alarm system. This is kinda hilarious all around, 'cause Alpine got out of the alarm bus a few years ago and I can find little info on "Twindow" or Micro Sciences in CA. I even tried phoning their number - answering machine and no response...
My unit controls window up function only and I want to add a window down function to the remote (I understand the 2A is capable of this). The Porsche is a convertible and it would be helpful to be able to lower the windows before entering the car to minimize wear and tear on the window-to-convertible top rubber seals.
Of course the car's previous owner was not courteous enough to leave the instructions for either the alarm or the Twindow controller with the vehicle. I have been able to track down data on the Alpine - now I just have to find a list of the input feeds (eg. first spade is "window 1 down (-/+)", etc. or red wire is "window 1 down (-/+)", etc.) for the Twindow controller.
If you do happen to stumble across the wiring schematic for your unit - maybe you could post a list of the controller inputs by spade or by harness color.
Thanks
Joe
