I have a '88 f-150 with the radio gone and cut wires. I can't seem to find the right wiring diagram for it. Someone suggested installdr.com, but the color codes are worng. I have the manual, but my grandson decided to be nice and drew me a beautiful picture obliterating the diagram in it. I really don't want to buy another one and my local library doesn't have anything to help. Could someone that has a book send me a copy or does anyone know of a website that would have the right diagram, please? Thanks.

FYI, a haynes or Chiltons will have the wiring diagram.

right rear - purple
right front - grey
left rear - green
left front - white

ground - black
dimmer - orange
12v ignition - blue with black stripe
12v battery - blue with red stripe


or


right rear - blue//white and blue stripe
right front - white//blue with white stripe
left rear - red with blue stripe//white with blue stripe
left front - blue with orange stripe//purple

ground - black
dimmer - none
12v ignition red
12v battery - yellow

 

Not the right one either. Thanks for trying. I have 2 black w/white, white w/green, orange w/yellow, yellow w/black, orange, orange w/brown, red, lt blue w/red, lt green w/yellow and white w/orange.
