I have 2004 Supercab XLT it's not A Lariat but love the look of the front grill. HOw could I purchase the Lariat grill? would an aftermarket outfit have it or would I have to try and get it from the dealer?

 

If you want exactly Lariat style, you will have to get it from the dealer or if somebody swaps out from Lariat to a different type, you can use theirs. From the dealer is approx $175.

 

I would suggest checking ebay occasionally. I don't see a Lariat grill there right now...just some XLT, FX4, and some Billet grills. I did see a Lariat grill a while ago, however. It's an option if you want to save some dough.

 

I check ebay daily and have seen only one Lariat grille that I can remember ... and it was the insert only ("surround" not included). But, that certainly doesn't mean you shouldn't keep an eye out for it.

dleonard888, what color is your truck!? You see, when you replace the grille, the "surround" ring is the color of your truck. On the Lariat, it's chrome. This may very well determine with whom you could trade as I've only heard of one person successfully swapping out the surround only. Personally, I have a Lariat and would like a BLACK XLT (full grille).

Past all that, you can email Torrie at http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com. I have the model numbers at home and may be able to post them later tonight ... if not tomorrow. I think you may be able to get the Lariat for around $127 ... not sure about tax/shipping.

I have a red XLT, the surround is red with all black grill.. The outer chrome is really what I like. However if you wanted to work something out on a trade that would be fine with me. Please let me know if you have any idea's ?? all we would have to pay for is shipping. I'm game

 

Unfortunately, I want to lose my Lariat chrome as much as the nickel colored insert. I want to replace the whole thing with BLACK. So, I won't be able to trade with you. Someone else might, but I won't. Thanks for the offer nonetheless.

I originally swapped out only my nickel honeycomb for black honeycomb and left the chrome. I liked this idea because this configuration isn't available on any other trucks. Now I'm thinking about swapping the chrome surround out for a black one (black truck).

I have a Black Lariat and want to perform the same swap as GordoPanocho (I'd like a painted gloss black surround instead of the chrome yet I want to keep my insert (and paint it silver). If anyone else is up for an even swap let me know (black surround only).
