C4 to C6 swap

The C6 is going to be a little bit longer so you are going to need a shorter driveshaft. Other than that there are just small things such as making sure you have the C6 that will except a column shifter unless you have a floor shifter installed. Also make sure that you have a small block C6. The question I ask is, why do you want to swap in the C6? Is the C4 dying? Yes the C6 is a stronger transmission but along with that it sucks more power as well. If you are generating an insane amount of HP with that 351 or are doing a lot of heavy towing, then I could see using the C6. Otherwise in a 2WD half ton the C4 should suffice. The C4 can also be built to handle a good amount of HP as well. I like to see people weigh there options before just jumping to something that they may regret down the road.

this is my 2nd C4 and I'm not having very good luck with them. They simply will not down shift for the life of them. I've adjusted the kickdown from one extreme to the other. I've got a TCI valve body in it now. I need a tranny that will tow a heavy camaro with a fully loaded bed, through the mountains of west virginia and live lol. I dont know maybe someone could help me with this C4 problem? I'm getting ready to be transfered in a couple of months to the midwest and I want to make sure that my trucks tranny is up to the task.
