first year for crewcab

I was over at e-bay and noticed somebody had a 1967 F-250 crewcab for sale. It said in the comments that only 600 of them were made at that time. I noticed someone had a 1971 crewcab in this forum. I would imagine that 1967 was the first year ford ever had a crewcab. Does anybody no for sure,

Ford started making their own Crew Cabs in '65, before that they were subcontracted out to a company named Crown.

The ebay number is 2468527663 Type in ford trucks on your subject the truck should be half way down the page. Bidding is still open on this truck.

He listed it under pickup instead of truck.
Looks like a nice one ! I am also curious about the hype of only
600 built?

Here in Oklahoma I have seen several early Ford crewcabs (actually most were 3 door)
that were originally built for the railroad. Have seen early 50's Fords and a couple of mid 60's Chevy's. All were ex-railroad service vehicles.

It is possible there were only 600 67 crewcabs built but I think that number is probably low. Ford production figures are difficult to figure out. All crew cabs are body code 81 (chassis cab) but not all body code 81's are crew cabs. I can't find a listing for 67 but 69 Body code 81 production numbers for F250's are: 4x2= 6093, 4x4=641. How many of those are crew cabs? I think it's anybodies guess. My guess for the reserve...$3000. If anybody has production figures for the 67 F250 chassis cabs I'd like to see them. Check out my profile if you want to see a 69 F250 Crew 4x4 Stepside. It's the only one I've ever seen and I've been playing with these babies since the 70's
